| San Antonio's Hovey Motor Cars has won the 2008 Zimmer Dealer of the Year award for moving more Zimmer autos than any other dealership. It's a distinction the high-end car lot has held every year since 2001.
Syracuse, N.Y.-based Zimmer Motor Cars produces pricey, limited-production vehicles designed to resemble '20s and '30s Duesenberg autos. A base coupe model Zimmer sells for $115,000 and a four-door model for $189,000. "(Hovey owner Rich Hovey) promotes it more than the other dealerships," proprietor Art Zimmer said. "He wheels and deals. He sells them all over the counrty." About a half dozen dealerships around the U.S. carry Zimmer autos.
